LUES had a "Soup-er Bowl" extended lunch PLC for teachers today. Soups and sandwiches were served while Mrs Stone delivered ways to use a variety of comprehension strategies classrooms. Thank you Mrs Stone for the extended lunch and to Coach Barnett for sponsoring the meal.#shine

Ensure your child has a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, proteins, and dairy products. Limit sugary and processed foods where you can. When students come to school after a healthy breakfast, they have the energy they need to start the day!

To recognize Positive Behaviors at LUES, we will host Bingo and Brownies for our students that have had no office referrals and only one classroom referral from 1/17/25-2/14/25 (20 days of excellent behavior.) A healthy child not only exhibits physical well-being but emotional, social, and intellectual wellness as well. Creating a healthy child includes nurturing their physical, emotional social and intellectual well-being. By focusing on these aspects, you are helping your child develop the skills and resilience they need to live a healthy, well-balanced lifestyle.

Proactive Planning- All children will have days they are sick or need to go to an appointment, but try to plan vacations and appointments during school breaks when possible to minimize disruptions to your child's education. Always send an excuse for illness.
