Students in Mrs. Lynn's Reading class work together to find text evidence.

Today Mrs. Allen's and Mrs. Dowell’s classes completed a science lesson building snowmen using baking soda and conditioner. The students mixed it up and formed the mixture to make snowmen. All had a great time!

Mrs. Allen’s class and Mrs. Heidi's and Mrs. Terra’s class were visited today by Teachers Paws owner, Donna Beall. Mrs. Beall shared interesting facts bout parrots and lovebirds. The students gained knowledge about the birds' eating habits and general care habits. The classes enjoyed the visit and are interested in learning more about these interesting species!

Join us for our annual Literacy Night. See the image below as we will have some great agencies from our community here with us to celebrate.

Toombs County Schools students and staff will return to regular schedule tomorrow, January 10, 2024.

Due to the possibility of severe weather tomorrow (January 9, 2024), the Toombs County School System will be closed for students and staff. The local Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has advised and recommended closure as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities. The decision to close the school has been made in consideration of the forecasted weather conditions, including the potential for high winds that may compromise the safety of our school buses and pose risks to commuting students.
We understand the impact this may have on your daily routine, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these weather-related concerns.
We will continue to communicate any school updates through the following communication tools: Toombs County Schools mobile app, Social Media Outlets (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter), School websites, Email, text messages and local radio stations.
