
Applications for the Miss TCMS pageant are due Friday, Feb, 23rd. Applications can be picked up in the front office. The Miss TCMS pageant will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 4 pm.

Rising Freshman Orientation at Toombs County High School will be on Tuesday, February 27th (Last Names ending in A-J) and Thursday, February 29th (Last Names ending in K-Z) at 5:45 p.m. each evening.
If you are not able to attend due to a schedule conflict on your selected night please email michelle.branham@toombs.k12.ga.us to switch your night to the other date. Any student who does not attend either night will have the opportunity at a later date to select their elective courses at TCMS.
On orientation night, students will select their high school pathways/elective classes. Students will tour TCHS on Wednesday, February 21st and they will bring home an informational booklet with a list of pathways.

Please join us on March 5th, 2024 for STEM night at TCMS from 4: 30 - 5:30. We will have a variety of hands-on STEM activities, sessions on internet safety, resources for preparation for the Georgia Milestones assessment, and more. We will be serving hot dogs and sides for supper. Come join us!

Earlier this month, Mrs. Dowell and Mrs. Brinson’s students turned art into a Pixar Valentine Bulletin Board. The boys used a variety of shapes and their handsome faces to build houses and balloons to create this cute centerpiece of their classroom. They continue to enjoy art as one of their in-class connections!

TCMS Competition Cheer and BETA Club are hosting the 1st annual 8th Grade Formal on March 8th. Tickets are on sale for $10 until March 1st.

In observance of Presidents Day, Toombs County Schools will be closed for students and staff on Feb. 19, 2024.


Mrs. Todd’s class has been studying the location of water on Earth. Bryleigh did an excellent job constructing an argument to defend the importance of studying Ocean Topography. Great job, Bryleigh! #tcmswrites, #setthestandard


While transporting students home from school, one of our buses was rear ended by a car. None of the students nor the driver were seriously injured. The safety of our students is our top priority, including when they are riding the bus to and from school each day. All parents were contacted by the school system and notified of the accident.


Lisa Bell from GA Power visited Mrs. Baker's 8th grade class today to further the students' understanding of energy transformation.







FCA sold Crush Grams as a Valentine's fundraiser. Members of the FCA leadership team sold Crush Grams during lunches, and the Crush Grams were delivered this morning. Huddle Leader Lane Morris is giving our Crush Grams in Mrs. Dowell's class.

Yesterday, TCMS 8th grader, Noah Gordy, served as a Page for the Georgia House of Representatives. As a Page, Noah's role allowed him to assist legislators, staff, and other officials during the legislative process. In the pictures below, Noah is standing with Leesa Hagan of House District 156, and Jon Burns, Speaker of the House, and the final picture was taken by his proud parents as he carried out his duties on the House floor. Congratulations, Noah, on a wonderful opportunity to serve at the state level. #setthestandard

Lyons Mainstreet is preparing for another year with Tales from the Altamaha. The "Interview an Octogenarian Writing Contest" is a way to collect local stories. The winner receives $100, a t-shirt, and seats on opening night to be honored onstage. Please see images for more info.
