As seventh graders in Mrs. Cain and Mrs. Pierce's classes continue their forensics project, attorney and former magistrate judge Rizza O'Connor provides information about the process of obtaining search warrants as well as the reliability, or lack of reliability, of eye witnesses in a crime.
Thank you to Ms. O'Connor for giving your time to our students.

Mrs. Cain's and Mrs. Pierce's ELA classes are collaborating on a forensics unit for the next two weeks. Monday, Mr. Larry Griggers, a local author, spoke to students about the research and writing process. Tuesday, Captain Jordan Kight of the Toombs County Sheriff's Department, discussed forensic science and how law enforcement officers and others gather, handle, and process evidence from a crime scene.
Students will hear from other community members, then they will work together to solve a crime and write about their findings. Stay tuned for more info on this fascinating project!
